What payment methods can I use? TOP
We process payments through PayPal automatically on our cart. For your convenience, you do not need a PayPal account to use this option. If you should choose not to use PayPal for whatever reason, we accept money orders (No checks please without prior consent.) by mail, or Visa / Master Card by phone at 608-784-3767.
When will my order be shipped? TOP
For our security as well as yours, orders are shipped as soon as we receive payment confirmation from our processor. This guarantees there are no problems with the payment, and no additional charges for you of fees associated with non-paid transactions. If you have requested a specific delivery date, local orders will be delivered on that date. Shipped orders will be shipped ahead of the date in accordance with the vendor's shipping schedule, and will be delivered as close to your desired date as possible. To guarantee delivery on a specific date of shipped items, you must choose 3-day, 2-day, or overnight shipping as these are the only shipping methods available to us with guaranteed delivery dates.
I can only enter one shipping address. Can I ship gifts to more than one person at a time? TOP
Of course! Please include a comment in your order that the recipients are at different addresses, and we will contact you to obtain shipping information.
My gift arrived with damage to some items. What should I do? TOP
We do our best to insure your package arrives safely. In the event something is damaged in transit, please contact us within three days with details. Reparation of the damaged items may take the form of item replacement or partial refund. If full refund is requested, we may, at our discretion and at no additional cost, request that the gift is returned to us.
Can I use a TDD system to place an order? TOP
Due to a recent flux of fraudulent telephone orders involving the telephone relay system for the deaf, The Gift Basket is instituting a policy regarding these types of orders. Any order made through a telephone relay service is subject to these rules:
$250 maximum total.
Must be paid by Paypal or wire transfer.
No checks or credit cards accepted due to the lack of ability to verify caller's identity.
Purchases must be paid in full, and cleared before product will be ordered. No delivery will take place on partially paid orders.
Payment will be accepted for amount of purchase only. Any "fees" due to delivery or personal agents are not the responsibility of The Gift Basket, and will not be handled by us in any manner.
Please understand that this policy is not intended to disuade customers who must rely on this service for assistance, but due to the unscrupulous acts of certain individuals, it is neccessary to protect ourselves.

Do you have different policies for holiday orders? TOP
Because the fall and winter seasons are so very hectic for us at The Gift Basket, we do use a few different policies for orders placed during this time of year. These policies are good practice through the entire year, but are required between October 1 - December 31.
- We request that orders be placed at least 5 days ahead of the date required. Holidays are hectic for not only us, but for our suppliers as well and shortages do occur. This policy gives us the opportunity to make acceptable substitutions should one or more of the items in your gift be back-ordered or out of stock. Local delivery items such as cakes and cookie bouquets require only a 2 day notice.
- We will not, under any circumstances accept any orders for Christmas delivery after December 21. We cannot guarantee timely delivery or ability to acquire the needed product in that short period. Thank you for your understanding. All Christmas orders placed before this time will be delivered as promised.
